What's included in a tradie website in NZ?

Comparing quotes? This page shows what's included in a tradie website in NZ. It covers Launch Local Web builds.

The number of pages depends on the package and scope. The sections below show the core build and optional extras.

You should see the build inclusions before paid work starts. If something sits outside the quote, we explain it first.

The core website build

A Launch Local Web build can include:

  • A custom homepage built around the real business
  • The agreed service and supporting pages
  • Mobile-friendly layouts for phones, tablets and larger screens
  • Clear service and service-area information
  • A quote or contact form
  • Click-to-call and other useful contact links
  • Page titles, descriptions, headings and internal links
  • Search Console setup and sitemap submission where included
  • Google Analytics setup where included
  • Standard hosting and SSL
  • Handover with the finished website under the business's control

The package sets the number of pages. The scope sets the level of detail. For current build sizes and starting points, compare the website packages.

Pages built around the real business

The website should describe the work the business actually provides. We use the services, areas and contact details you approve. We also use the business information you supply.

Major services can have their own pages. The agreed scope decides when that is useful. We do not add empty pages simply to make the website look larger.

The site can name the real cities, regions or suburbs you cover. We do not claim areas the business does not serve.

We can review useful wording and photos from an older site first. The same applies to business details. We do not replace good material without a reason.

See the website upgrade option if the current website needs a rebuild.

Content, photos and proof

You can supply a logo, business photos, service details and qualifications. You can also send other material the business owns.

We can shape the website copy from the details you provide. You review the customer-facing wording before launch.

Real project photos can add useful proof. Genuine reviews and valid qualifications can do the same. We do not invent jobs, testimonials, awards, licences or business claims.

If suitable business images are not available, we agree on another option. We do not use images that may look like your own work.

Contact and quote enquiries

The agreed build can include a quote form or contact form. Enquiries can go to the business inbox.

Phone links can be made tap-friendly on mobile. Important contact details should be easy to find. Customers should not need to hunt through the site.

The form should collect enough detail for the next step. It should not ask for information you do not need.

Search foundations included with the build

The website can include clear titles, descriptions and headings. It can also include crawlable links and clear page structure.

These elements help search engines understand the business. They also help explain each page.

We can include Search Console setup. We can also submit the sitemap. We can also connect Google Analytics when it is in the agreed scope.

We base local content on genuine services and coverage. These foundations do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or revenue.

Hosting, SSL and business accounts

Standard hosting and SSL come with the current website-build offer. There is no required monthly website fee to Launch Local Web. The standard finished site can stay online without that recurring charge.

Domain registration stays separate unless the quote says otherwise. Optional professional email is separate too. Those accounts can stay in the business's own name and control.

This makes the main website assets easier to manage if you change providers.

What stays under your control

The business should keep control of its domain and approved content. Supplied business assets should stay under its control too.

We hand over the finished website without a long lock-in.

You can move to another provider later if that becomes the right choice. You can also review recent Launch Local Web work before you decide.

The final quote lists exactly what the build includes. We discuss anything outside that scope before additional work starts.

What may be added later

Not every website needs every feature on day one. We can add extra service pages and articles later.

Location content or Google Business Profile help can also be added later. We only add them when there is a clear need.

Your chosen package may already cover some additions. We quote other additions separately before work begins.

For broader questions about ownership, payments and support, see the Launch Local Web FAQ.

What you do not pay for by default

There is no required monthly site retainer for the standard finished website. Standard hosting and SSL remain part of the current build offer.

Simple wording, phone-number or photo changes can fit the current small-change policy. We scope larger additions such as new pages, articles or features separately.

Optional work is not added to the bill without agreement.

A practical way to compare website quotes

Two website quotes can look similar while covering very different work. Before choosing a provider, compare the actual work in the quote. Do not rely on the package name alone.

Check:

  • How many pages are included
  • Whether major services receive enough space
  • Whether the site works properly on mobile
  • Where form enquiries are sent
  • Whether click-to-call is included
  • Whether titles, descriptions and search setup are included
  • Whether Search Console and Analytics setup are included
  • Who owns the domain and finished website
  • Whether hosting requires an ongoing monthly payment
  • What happens when you need changes later

A cheaper quote may simply include fewer items. A larger quote may include extras you do not need.

Questions about what's included

Are separate pages for my main services part of the build?

They can be. The package and agreed scope set the number of service pages. They also decide which services need their own page.

Will the quote form send enquiries to my email?

Yes. Basic form enquiries can go to the business inbox. You do not need another dashboard just to receive them.

Is the mobile layout included across the whole site?

Yes. The agreed pages are built to work across phones, tablets and larger screens.

Can I use my existing logo, photos and domain?

Yes. We can use suitable business assets that you already own. We confirm supplied material before launch.

Do you set up Google Analytics and Search Console?

Yes, when they are part of the agreed build. The accounts stay tied to the business. They do not need to belong to an individual provider.

Want to see the first page before deciding?

Send the main business details. We can then prepare a working homepage preview. You can review the direction before deciding whether to continue.
